Supported Fax Devices

Modems supported using GFI modems drivers

MultiTech modems supported:

• Rockwell/Conexant-based models (Voice support for DTMF): MT5600ZDX, MT5600ZDXV, MT5600BA, and MT5600BL.
• Lucent Venus-based models (no DTMF support): MT5634ZBA, MT5634ZBAV, MT5634MSV, MT3334ZDXV, MT5634ZPX and MT5634ZPX-PCI.
• Legacy models (no DTMF support, not tested): MT1432BA/BL, MT1932BA/BL/ZDX, MT2834BA/BL/ZDX, MT2834BR, MT2834BLR, MT3334HD8, MT2834MR6 and ISI3334.

Modems supported using Windows 2000 modems drivers

• All quality modems with a windows 2000 modem driver. Note that these drivers are supported only by the modem manufacturer, not by GFI. However, we have good experiences when using Windows 2000 modem drivers with a quality fax modem.
• Please note that you can support a maximum of 2 modems using Windows 2000 modem drivers. To use more then 2 modems, add modems using GFI modem drivers, or fax cards or ISDN cards.

ISDN Cards

AVM cards supported:

• Model: AVM-B1v3 1 BRI interface. This card has a limitation that if 1 channel is receiving the other channel must wait for the receiving channel to finish. Both channels can send simultaneously though.
• Model: AVM-B1v4 1 BRI interface.
• Model: AVM-C4 4 BRI interface. This is equivalent to four AVM-B1v4 interface cards in one.

EICON cards supported:

• Model: EICON Diva Pro 2.0 1 BRI interface. This card has a limitation that if 1 channel is transmitting (being sending or receiving) the other channel must wait for the transmitting channel to finish.
• Model: EICON Diva Server-BRI 1 BRI interface.
• Model: EICON DIVA Server 4BRI 4 BRI interfaces. This is equivalent to four EICON Diva Server-BRI interface cards in one.
• Model: EICON Diva Server-PRI-30M 1 PRI interface.
   

Brooktrout Cards

The FAXmaker Brooktrout drivers use version 4.3 of the Brooktrout API. All cards that are supported by the Brooktrout API version 4.3 can be used. Below is a guideline on what Brooktrout cards are supported:

TruFAX Brooktrout cards supported

• Both the ISA and the PCI version of the TruFAX 200 card.
• Both the ISA and the PCI version of the TruFAX 100 card.

TR114 Brooktrout cards supported:

• All loop-start interface cards; e.g.: TR114+I2L, TR114+P4L and above.
• All DID interface cards; e.g.: TR114+I2L, TR114+P4L and above.
• All mixed loop-start/DID interface cards; e.g.: TR114+I2C, TR114+P4C and above.
• All ISDN BRI interface cards; e.g.: TR114+I2B, TR114+P4B and above.
• All digital interface cards; e.g.: TR114+I8V, TR114+P16V and above.
• PRI interface cards are not supported.
• Multiple cards on one machine can be used.
